Well today I am babysitting so I will be gone all day. yesterday I did get in some serious christmas shopping. Went to Macys and bought my great nieces each a darling outfit - and both on sale I might add. I got the little one a pair of guess jeans and a guess T-shirt - oh so very cute I just couldn't resist....she is 3 1/2 (size 4T) so you can imagine how cute those little jeans are. Then for the almost 8 year old I got her a Hanna Montana T and a Hanna Montana blingy jacket.....you know how those little girls are into the whole Hanna thing.....
Anyhoo, also bought some toys for them and picked up some gift cards for my nephews and my niece. Oh yea, I only bought one thing for myself - some new perfume....Notorious by Ralph Lauren - smells so yummy I just couldn't resist....
So I am basically done with shopping, only have a couple of things left to get and that will probably just be gift cards to restaurants....so thats easy.
I am planning on working on my xmas cards while I am babysitting today so hopefully I can get them in the mail by the weekend - which by the way is very busy...I have out Leisure World flea market on Sat which is good cause I will be able to get rid of alot of the junk I have laying around the house.....
Ok so I guess I better go get in the shower myself since I have to be out of here by 6:15.
Everyone take care and have a great day....great big hugs to all.....
Yes I am thrilled to be on the downhill of healing and back to the routine. We seem to have all come out on the other side unscathed. Work is tremendously busy will trying to prepare for finals and final projects. We have had tons of meetings. Not doing much Christmas shopping (no money) but I do want to do something really nice for my co-teacher as she is a God send and I can't thanks her enough for holding down the class.
Everyone enjoy the day
Monica

Today is our office potluck . . . with bourbon balls - and then . . . get this . . . we have to do more training ... way to dampen the spirit lol.
Have a great day everyone . . .and so glad you started the day correctly with your post Janine ... it's hard to lurk when you have to step up and open a chat line!
Hugs
Chris
Just sitting here sipping my coffee, reading some e-mail and waiting for my foggy brain to wake up. Yesterday was a decent work day Wednesday and went by quickly. A good change from Monday, when I felt like crap and Tuesday. We heard first thing Tuesday at work that a co-worker/friend I have worked with for like 30 years passed away at home Monday evening and, as usual, though expected it was a sad shock for me and the others that knew him. Tuesday wasn't the best day. A couple hours later we got word that another guy we work closely with, he is on leave from my team, isn't expected to make it to the new year. Both had/have cancer. I've worked with him for 20 years. Odd thing is we are all the same age. Dennis, who passed, was born in Sept, George, who is at home on leave, in Feb and I in April. So Dennis was 56 when he passed, Geo and I are 55. Too young and more sad than I can express. Holy Crap... it has just been a such rotten year I tell ya...
Well, on another note, we had a low participation in WWW this week but did manage a - 22.0 pound reported weight loss for the week. Hey gang... let's get more people posting the next three weeks to send that yearly totally off the hook!!!!
I'm glad it is a Terrific Thursday and TGIF is less than a day away, aren't you? Wishing everyone a great day!

I am still so jazzed by my expereince this past weekend..I posted a picture of the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church and myself on this site...wow..I am still jazzed...oh wait..I said that already..lol
Getting into the Christmas spirit is a bit harder though, this is still the first year of the passing of my mother and grandmother. My heart hurts for all who share my expereince at any time in their lives. I must keep in mind..we are all so loved by our Greater being..whom ever we believe in...that is such a wonderful gift, free of charge, no sales tax, deliverary included, no batteries needed.
Have a Blessed day....

Thanks for the shout out Janine! And I don't to 10 loads of laundry a day I only do 7! lol. And 7 is my limit. Today I go walking with a friend after I drop the kids off at school. THen home for some cleaning. With all these kids that is never ending. I am hoping my husband can get the remaining baseboards on as this is driving me nuts. Yesterday I finished painting all my picture frames and I am hoping on Saturday to get them on to the walls of my hallway. We have a long hallway that is lined with photos of our family. My husand and I have one section that is called the kissing wall and it has all of our pictures that we are kissing in. THere is a lot! lol. I also have to bake some cookies this morning for a teacher at school. Lucky I make huge batches of cookie dough and freeze it so I am always ready when the need for a homemade cookie comes up! lol Well I better get baking talk to you soon.
